Developed by Bloober Team, the Silent Hill 2 Remake revisits one of the most iconic psychological horror games in modern gaming history. Released in October 2024, the remake retells the story of James Sunderland as he searches for information about his deceased wife, Mary, in the town of Silent Hill, with the narrative paralleling that of the 2001 title. The remake introduced updated visuals, sound design, and gameplay controls, while preserving the core elements that made Silent Hill 2 one of the best psychedelic horror games of all time.

According to a Twitter post by insider AestheticGamer, there is a “very high chance” that Bloober Team will soon reveal DLC for the Silent Hill 2 Remake. According to the insider, Bloober Team was working on this DLC even before the release of the game last year, and the studio is aiming to release this additional content for the Silent Hill 2 Remake before the end of 2025. Though no official word has been shared by Konami or Bloober Team, AestheticGamer has a history of accurate information.

While fans keep an eye out for an announcement regarding this DLC, Bloober Team recently confirmed that it will improve the PS5 Pro version of Silent Hill 2. Players experienced frame pacing problems and resolution inconsistencies on PS5 Pro, with some claiming that the Silent Hill 2 remake runs better on the default PS5 than on its Pro version. Bloober Team acknowledged these issues and confirmed that a patch will come out soon to improve the overall gameplay experience on the PS5 Pro.
