Silent Hill 2 Remake is Longer and Scarier than the Original
Considered one of the best horror games of all time, Silent Hill 2 took players on an intense 8-9 hour horror journey when it was released on PS2. However, Bloober Team’s remake for PS5 makes this horror journey much longer.
Silent Hill 2 Remake Will Be Longer and Scarier Than the Original
Mateusz Lenart, creative director and lead designer at Bloober Team, revealed for the first time just how big the PS5 version of Silent Hill 2 is. After VGC journalist Jordan Middler shared on X (formerly Twitter) that he enjoyed the first hours of the game, Lenart wished him well for “12+ hours of the game”. But the real surprise was hidden in Lenart’s statement: For an intermediate player, the game will take 16-18 hours, while uncovering all the secrets will take more than 20 hours.
While retaining the dark and disturbing atmosphere of the original, the remake looks set to offer Silent Hill fans a much more immersive experience with a longer playtime and in-depth exploration.
