Silent Hill franchise was so silent for many years, after years of waiting, fans will finally get Silent Hill 2 Remake. While a Silent Hill game is right around the corner, another major Konami title, Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater, is also set to mark a franchise return after over six years. Given that both franchises are making a comeback after long breaks, fan excitement for these games has been predictably spirited.

According to PlayStation Game Size on Twitter, the Silent Hill 2 remake on PS5 will take up 50.535GB of free space with the 1.001.000 version. The post also mentions that the game’s pre-load will begin on October 6, two days before its release date, for Standard Edition owners. On the other hand, Deluxe Edition owners will be able to start pre-loading the game as early as October 4 before the game goes live for them on October 6. While Silent Hill 2’s Standard Edition is priced at $69.99, the Deluxe Edition is up for grabs for $79.99.

After the Silent Hill 2 remake rolls out next month, fans of Konami’s vast portfolio of IPs will still have more to look forward to. Over the past few months, the Japanese gaming giant has routinely shared new details and previews of the upcoming Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater remake. Interested players can likely expect a release date for the stealth action game soon, as the game is currently expected to come out in 2025.
