Silent Hill f New Details Revealed
The recently revealed ESRB rating for Silent Hill f includes some new information about the game, detailing certain events that will happen in the title’s story.
New Details from Silent Hill f
Silent Hill f was originally announced in 2022 with a short trailer. From the start, the main difference found in the upcoming game was that it was set in 1960s Japan instead of the United States, like all entries before it. Recent developments have revealed more information about the psychological horror game, which will be the first entry in the franchise to receive a mature rating, as the title has been branded as CERO:Z in Japan, the equivalent to an 18+ rating.
Now, Silent Hill f has been rated by the ESRB, receiving an unsurprising M rating. What stands out, however, is that the description on the ESRB’s website shares a few details of the title’s story that were not previously divulged by Konami. Apart from giving a summary of the game and stating that combat is filled with blood-splatter effects, the ESRB also revealed that one character will possibly be burned alive inside a cage in the game, a woman will be branded by hot iron, entrails will be displayed in a celebration ceremony, and one character may slice off a portion of another’s face during a ritual. The rating also said that the game will have partial nudity, such as “exposed buttocks and partially exposed breasts” in a mannequin like character. While these details do not say much about the story, they certainly point out some strong scenes coming in the eagerly awaited horror game.
A few days ago, Konami also shared some more details about Silent Hill f. At the time, the publisher said that the game would have some disturbing elements such as child abuse and torture, as well as gender discrimination. While Silent Hill has always dealt with mature, dark themes, it seems that the story of Silent Hill f may be particularly memorable.
