Silent Hill Remake Officially In Development

At the end of Konami’s Press Start event, a surprise came that excited fans. The name Silent Hill Remake was reflected on the screens and it was announced that Bloober Team, who had previously touched the series, was working as the developer.

Silent Hill Remake Project Became Official

The remake, which was announced with a short visual shown in the final moments of the event, aims to redesign the first Silent Hill game released in 1999. Although details have not yet been shared, this announcement alone was enough to excite horror game enthusiasts. In the official statement shared on social media, it was confirmed that the project is being carried out in collaboration with Konami and Bloober Team.

Bloober Team returned to the series with Silent Hill 2 Remake, which was released last year and received positive reviews for its horror atmosphere, graphic quality and boss fights. Now, the team will return to the roots of the series and revive the original game from 1999 with today’s technology.

No information was given about gameplay, release date or platforms in the announcement. However, considering the success of the previous remake, expectations are quite high. It is eagerly awaited to see how the experience offered by the first game on the original PlayStation will be recreated with new generation hardware.

This new project is seen as part of Konami’s efforts to revive the Silent Hill brand. Although it is still in its early stages, Silent Hill Remake has already attracted attention.
