SilverStone’s New PC Case Reminiscent of the 80s
SilverStone has announced its new FLP02 case model for users who want both a nostalgic look and modern performance when building a computer. The FLP02, which draws attention with its design reminiscent of 1980s desktop computers, was introduced at the Computex 2025 fair in Taiwan and is planned to be on sale by the end of the year.
SilverStone FLP02 Both Looks Retro and Supports Modern Hardware
The new FLP02 case offers a wide range of motherboard support from SSI-CEB to Mini-ITX. It provides flexible installation opportunities for both old and new hardware thanks to three external 5.25-inch drive bays and various 3.5 and 2.5-inch internal disk bays. Thanks to the support stand inside, large graphics cards such as the Nvidia RTX 4090 can also be easily placed.
The case, which offers up to 140mm fan support on the rear and 360mm on the top, is designed to help high-performance systems stay cool. There are two USB 3.0 Type-A, one USB Type-C and an audio jack connection located behind a hidden cover on the front panel.
The “turbo” button, which completes the retro design, is located on the front of the case and allows for quick fan speed changes. Another striking detail is the physical lock mechanism added to prevent accidentally closing the power button.
The SilverStone FLP02 is priced at $220 and is expected to be available to users towards the end of the year. For those who want to combine the aesthetics of the 80s with today’s technology, this case can be a modern “sleeper build” alternative.
