Sonic Wings Reunion Coming to PS4 First Trailer Released
Developed by Hamster Corporation and published by SUCCESS Corporation, Sonic Wings Reunion has also been announced for the PlayStation 4 platform. The game, which was previously announced for PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, PC and arcade versions, will be released on May 29, 2025. The newly released first trailer shows players that the game will return with renewed visuals and modern touches.
Sonic Wings Reunion: A Renewed Classic
The original Sonic Wings, released in 1998 as an arcade-style shooter, returns years later under the name Sonic Wings Reunion. The game allows eight different characters to be selected, while the story and scenario of each character will vary depending on the player’s choice. Players will fight against a mysterious organization called “Fata Morgana” and try to complete eight different stages set in cities around the modern world. The game will also feature many nostalgic elements such as bonus levels and giant futuristic weapons.
Sonic Wings Reunion allows players to play with their friends with local co-op support. At the same time, it will be possible to enjoy these shared scenarios even in single-player mode. The game has many language options including English, Japanese, French, German, Spanish, Portuguese, Korean, Traditional Chinese and Simplified Chinese.
Players will be able to personalize their music experience with three different sound mode options. The atmosphere of the game will be diversified with the classic music of the original Sonic Wings series composer Soshi Hosoi, edited versions and the special Mao Mao mode. In addition, difficulty level, invincibility mode, practice mode and other detailed settings will be offered to players.
Sonic Wings Reunion, which will be released on May 29, will be available digitally to PS4 users. Physical and digital versions will be available for PS5 and Switch.
