Space Marine 2 Team Working on Big Hasbro Project
Hasbro has announced that it will be developing a new AAA game in collaboration with Saber Interactive, the successful team behind Warhammer 40K: Space Marine 2. It was announced that this new project will be based on one of Hasbro’s most important brands. Although no official details have been shared yet, there are strong assumptions that a popular IP like Transformers is being worked on. The announcement was made by Hasbro CEO Chris Cocks at an earnings meeting.
Hasbro and Saber Interactive Collaboration
Chris Cocks drew attention to Saber Interactive’s success in previous projects and stated that the team was the right choice for this new game. It was stated that the Swarm technology developed for high-paced action and multiplayer experiences used in Space Marine 2 will also be used in this new project. It was emphasized that Hasbro is aiming for great success with this collaboration.
Among Hasbro’s well-known brands such as Transformers, G.I. Joe or Dungeons & Dragons, it is a matter of curiosity which one is the most suitable for this project. The Transformers series in particular stands out as a strong candidate since it has not seen a new game at the AAA level for a long time.
Although no official statement has been made about the new game that Saber Interactive will collaborate with Hasbro, the Transformers brand is considered one of the strongest options for this project. Their experience in developing an action-oriented game such as Warhammer 40K: Space Marine 2 could be quite compatible with the dynamic structure of Transformers.
On the other hand, G.I. Joe is also among the possibilities. However, since it is known that a G.I. Joe game focusing on the Snake Eyes character is currently being developed, this option is thought to be less likely. The possibility of a game based on the Dungeons & Dragons universe is also on the agenda, but there is no clear information on this subject.
