Squid Game Season 3 Trailer Released

Netflix’s global phenomenon series Squid Game is preparing to meet its audience with its third and final season. The trailer, released along with the announcement of the actors who took the stage at the Tudum 2025 event, revealed both the first images of the new season and Gi-hun’s story that has reached its breaking point. After the failed rebellion attempt in the previous season, the character’s inner conflicts deepen even more. The new season questions the dark side of humanity while drawing the audience back into a deadly game.

Squid Game Season 3 Starts on June 27

The final season begins with Gi-hun’s desperation after his failed rebellion attempt. Plans turned upside down by the Front Man’s betrayal, the death of his close friend Jung-bae, and an uncertain period of captivity pave the way for the character’s darkest period. Series creator Hwang Dong-hyuk says that this season will question Gi-hun’s values, conscience, and his resilience to remain human. The main theme of the new season is shaped around the question of whether humanity can survive even in an environment of chaos.

One of the most striking scenes in the trailer is when the players encounter Young-hee, the iconic puppet from the legendary “Red Light, Green Light” game, again. However, this time, the game seems to be supported by new, chaotic elements such as train tracks and rope jumping. The male animatronic Chul-su character, who has not yet appeared in the trailer but was hinted at in a short scene after the second season, also seems to play an important role in the new season.

Lee Byung-hun will again accompany Lee Jung-jae in the new season. Names such as Park Sung-hoon, Kang Ae-sim and Choi Seung-hyun have also joined the cast. According to the statements made at the event, this season of the series will bring closure to Gi-hun’s personal story. However, considering the popularity of the series, it is also possible that the universe will be expanded and side stories will continue.

The third season, which will be released simultaneously with all episodes on June 27, will bring the classic Squid Game tension to the screens again. The visuals reflected in the trailer show that a journey awaits us in which characters stuck between blood, betrayal and conscience once again compete to the death.
