STALKER 2 Is Finally Coming to PS5
S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2, long available only to Xbox and PC players, is finally coming to PlayStation 5 users. The game’s official social media account announced that “S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl” will also be available for PS5.
S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 PS5 Release Date Coming, Though Late
Developer GSC Game World released S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 for Xbox and PC in November 2025. While a PS5 release date was widely anticipated, there was a long-standing silence regarding the release date. But the long-awaited news has finally arrived, with a release window of “late 2025.”
The announcement was made on July 9th via the game’s X (formerly Twitter) account. The message, “The Perimeter expands — S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl is officially announced for PlayStation 5,” confirmed that PS5 players have also been granted access to the region.
Technical details of the PS5 version of the game have not yet been released. However, the graphical quality and atmosphere offered in the Xbox Series X|S version are expected to be preserved on the PS5. Whether GSC Game World will make special optimizations for this port will be revealed in the coming days.
S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 stands out with its dark atmosphere, exploration elements, and survival mechanics, building upon the first game. PS5 players will now be able to experience this experience firsthand. The game’s PlayStation page is expected to launch soon, and pre-orders are expected to begin.
