Star Wars: Hunters Coming to PC
Zynga has announced plans to bring Star Wars: Hunters, a team-based battle arena game, to PC via Steam Early Access in 2025. The game was released in June as a free download for Nintendo Switch, iOS and Android.
Star Wars: Hunters Transitions from Console to PC
Zynga is best known for mobile games like FarmVille, Words with Friends and CSR Racing. However, Star Wars: Hunters was its first foray into the console platform. Similarly, Star Wars: Hunters will be the first PC game published by Zynga.
The PC version includes higher resolution textures and shadows, higher rendering quality and a highly detailed PC overlay in selected battle areas. Keyboard, mouse and wireless controller support will also be added and players will be able to utilize keybindings.
Zynga executive Yaron Leyvan said, “Star Wars: Hunters’ success on mobile and Nintendo Switch led to our decision to expand the game to the PC platform. This is something our fan community has been asking for, and we’re thrilled to welcome more players to Vespaara. This moment is also a milestone for Zynga, as this is the first time we are bringing one of our games to PC.”
In Zynga’s press release, Star Wars: Hunters is coming to other consoles such as Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5. Players can sign up for the upcoming closed beta to help try and test the PC version in advance. More details are expected soon.
It’s a busy time in the world of Star Wars video games, with several major projects in the works, including Respawn’s Star Wars Jedi 3, Quantic Dream’s Star Wars Eclipse and Amy Hennig’s untitled Star Wars game.
