Star Wars Outlaws Switch 2 Gameplay Leaked Online
Star Wars Outlaws has been making headlines with an unexpected development just days before its release. A 40-minute gameplay video leaked online, showing players running on the Nintendo Switch 2, offered the first clues about the game’s performance and visual quality. However, the controversy sparked by the leak has raised questions about how smooth Outlaws truly runs and what kind of experience it will offer at launch.
Star Wars Outlaws Switch 2 Leak
Footage shared by YouTuber mataleao revealed how smoothly the game runs on the Switch 2. Despite not being at 60 FPS and 1080p, comments were made that the gameplay was much more stable than expected. Most viewers noted that this performance was quite satisfactory, especially for ported games.
Among the comments, claims that Outlaws looks even better on Switch 2 than Cyberpunk 2077 caught the eye. Some players praised the smooth animations and fluid scene transitions, stating that the visuals were of a superior quality than expected.
Media representatives who tested the game at PAX West 2025, however, painted a different picture. During previews provided to the press, the game reportedly occasionally dropped below 30 FPS and that performance was “very jagged.” Since no recording was allowed during the experience, the debate between players escalated.
Despite conflicting reviews, the leaked 40 minutes of gameplay generated considerable excitement within the community. Star Wars Outlaws will officially launch for Switch 2 on September 4, 2025. It’s already a matter of curiosity how close the game’s performance will be at launch.
