Star Wars Zero Company Officially Announced
EA has officially announced that it is working on a new Star Wars game called Star Wars Zero Company. Developed by Bit Reactor and supported by Respawn Entertainment, this game will feature single-player, turn-based tactical gameplay. Although no detailed information has been shared about the game yet, clues about the game’s cast were given with the first promotional image. Official information will be announced at the Star Wars Celebration event to be held in Japan on April 19.
Star Wars Zero Company Revealed with Its First Visual
The shared promotional image features various characters. The visual draws attention with a Jedi, a bounty hunter who is probably a Mandalorian, a Stormtrooper, a droid, an armored figure carrying a rifle, and a character in the center who is a thug. Although no official statement has been made about the types and classes of the characters, it is estimated that they will offer a variety suitable for a team-based strategy structure.
The developer studio Bit Reactor was founded in Maryland in 2021, and this project will be the studio’s first game. The team consists of experienced developers who have previously worked on strategy-focused series such as XCOM, Civilization, and The Elder Scrolls Online. There are also names with experience in different genres of games such as Gears of War and Mortal Kombat 1.
A release date has not yet been announced for Star Wars Zero Company. However, it has been officially confirmed that the game is being developed for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC platforms. The first official information about the game will be shared at a special panel to be held at the Star Wars Celebration event in Japan on Saturday, April 19.
