Steam Gives Away Indie Fishing Game For Free

Steam continues to attract players with its extensive discounts and free game campaigns. This time, the platform is offering an independent fishing game called Isle of Jura for free until March 9. Developed by EM Games in 2022, the game draws attention with its peaceful atmosphere and exploration-focused gameplay.

Isle of Jura is Free on Steam

Isle of Jura is about a young girl’s journey to the island of Jura to complete her biology homework. During this process, players can discover more than 50 species of fish, learn three different fishing techniques, find the island’s hidden artifacts, and join the story by chatting with the islanders. The game’s peaceful gameplay is designed for players looking for exploration and relaxing experiences.

The game received positive reviews from some Steam users, but it did receive some negative reviews after it was offered for free. This has brought the game’s overall review score down to “Mixed”. However, since it’s free, those who want to try the game can take the opportunity without taking any risks.

Isle of Jura has very low minimum system requirements:

  • Operating System: Windows 7 (or newer)
  • Processor: Intel or AMD Dual Core (2GHz or better)
  • Memory: 3 GB RAM
  • Graphics Card: NVIDIA GeForce 9600 or ATI Radeon HD 4000+ (or better)
  • DirectX: Version 11
  • Storage: 500 MB available space

Note: The Steam client will only support Windows 10 and above operating systems as of January 1, 2024, so you may need to use Windows 10 or later to run the game.

Such free game campaigns on Steam allow players to discover new genres and experiences on the platform. The campaign for Isle of Jura will end on March 9, 2025. You can take advantage of the opportunity by visiting the Steam store to add the game to your library.
