Steam Might be Adding Video Recording Feature
A notable programmer and dataminer revealed that Steam is working on a new feature which will allow users to record videos from their games.
Steam Keeps Renovating the Client
Steam is playing a big role in the PC gaming industry. With each update made my programmers, Steam keeps getting great features and make the platform better for all players. Since it’s launch back in 2003, Steam made a lot of changes and it’s not the same as before. It’s much more usefull for all players with it’s community, store, items and so on.
Now, it looks like the service is working on a video recording software, which will allow players to record their gameplay without using another third party software. This feature will most likely make users share clips from their games at community. It’s not detailed yet but this might support background recording and will even integrate timeline markers for some of its games.
While fans were excited about the alleged upcoming tool, this was notably not even the only new feature rumored to be in development for Steam. Most recently, a patent filed by the distributor contained plans for an overhaul to Steam’s Discovery Queue system, wherein users could regularly earn rewards through its use. The prizes themselves will reportedly change depending on the genre, with unique bonus items for genres such as action or survival.
Steam is becoming better gaming platform each day for players. We will see when these features will be added and of course, what they are planning for upcoming dates.
