Stellar Blade PC Version Out in 129 Countries
While Stellar Blade is eagerly awaited to be released on PC on June 11, it has been revealed that the game will not be available for sale in 129 countries worldwide. Although the exact reason behind this limitation is unknown, some players think that even Shift Up is unaware of the situation.
Stellar Blade PC Version Access Issue Creates Controversy
While the arrival of PlayStation games on PC is met with great interest, the fact that Stellar Blade is not accessible in 129 countries has been met with backlash on social media. Countries not listed on Steam include regions such as Egypt, the Philippines, and Vietnam. While no official statement has yet been made by Sony, it is thought that this limitation may be based on legal or political reasons. Developer Shift Up openly expressed its surprise at the reaction of players to this situation and began to collect more information on the subject.
Shift Up’s surprised and sad emojis in social media posts show that they are not aware of these restrictions. Users asking “where they live” shows that the issue has only recently been noticed. This shows that the development team, which has kept expectations for the PC version high, may encounter some distribution problems.
On the other hand, the fact that the game does not require a PSN account is considered a positive development. Players can only connect their PSN accounts if they want to earn an extra outfit. This situation shows that Sony has taken a step back after the previous Helldivers 2 crisis. However, this flexibility does not fully compensate for the disappointment caused by the access ban experienced on a country basis.
The use of anti-piracy software called Denuvo in the game is also a matter of debate among players. The developer argues that this system, which is claimed to reduce performance, can be played with high quality even on low-end systems. Despite all these developments, the fact that the Stellar Blade PC version has climbed to the top of the Steam pre-order lists shows that the game will not lose interest in the process until the release day.
