Stellar Blade PC Will be Released Soon

Stellar Blade PC Could be Sooner Than Expected

Stellar Blade launched in April this year as a PlayStation 5 exclusive. The title was well received by the public, securing Stellar Blade a spot as the top selling game during its launch period on the PlayStation Store. Since then, the developer has continued to support Stellar Blade with numerous post-launch updates, adding new features like a photo mode, new outfits for Eve, and even a limited-time summer event. So far, no DLC has been planned, but Shift Up has expressed interest in developing a sequel.

In a chat with investors, as shared by Genki_JPN on Twitter, Shift Up stated that Stellar Blade would soon be arriving on PC. While the exact release date for the new version remains unclear, recent statements from the studio suggest that it could happen by the end of 2024. If so, Stellar Blade might end up only having six-months of exclusivity on Sony’s flagship console. The first signs of a PC adaptation surfaced in May, when Shift Up mentioned it was considering bringing Stellar Blade to more platforms.

Although a release date for the PC version has yet to be announced, Shift Up has already revealed that they have high expectations for the port. The studio clarified that they “expect better results on PC than on consoles.” In the report, the company also confirmed that Stellar Blade sold over one million copies within its first two months on PlayStation 5. Since then, the game has steadily attracted new fans, although an updated sales figure hasn’t been provided.

In addition to that, Shift Up is already producing its second triple-A title. A job listing posted in April indicated that the developer was seeking professionals to work on an action RPG set in an urban sci-fi environment, and that experience with Unreal Engine was required. Stellar Blade was developed using Unreal Engine 4. The job description also hinted that the studio’s next game, known as Project Witches, would be crossplatform.

Stellar Blade PC expecters can look forward to new informations will be shared by developer Shift Up. With the recent success, this release will be sooner than expected.
