Stellar Blade‘s official Twitter account was compromised by a cryptocurrency scam group. The account promoted a fake Stellar Blade-themed coin and began sharing inappropriate content. The game team warned its followers not to engage with these posts.

The account remained under malicious control for approximately seven hours, sparking widespread outrage among social media users. The game’s creative director, Kim Hyung Tae, issued a statement on his personal account, urging fans to remain vigilant and not respond to the content. The statement also indicated that Shift Up was involved in the incident.

The development team released a follow-up post a few hours later, announcing that the source of the attack had been identified and that efforts to restore the accounts were ongoing. Users are currently being asked to disregard any posts made from the account. It was also stated that security measures for the brand have been increased during this period.

Interestingly, the Stellar Blade account had previously attracted attention for sharing NSFW (adult) artwork. However, these posts generally aligned with the game’s aesthetic, so the community didn’t take them as a surprise. However, this latest attack, involving a cryptocurrency scam, clearly demonstrates that boundaries have been crossed.

The Stellar Blade community is demanding that the brand’s digital security be maintained and that stronger measures be taken to prevent similar incidents from occurring again. Shift Up, however, states that they are aware of the seriousness of the incident and are meticulously monitoring the situation.
