Super People Will Be Playable Again
Super People, which was closed in 2023 due to low player count, is being revived by South Korean developer Wonder People. The team, who want to try their luck in the battle royale world once again, is inviting players back to the field with a closed beta that will be launched on Steam on June 19. This new version will take the foundation of the original game and have a structure that has been improved in many ways.
Super People Returns with Renewed Content
Super People attracted attention with its structure similar to popular battle royale games such as Fortnite and PUBG. However, what made the game different was that players controlled super soldiers and had special abilities that developed during the match. While this structure is preserved in the new version, various updates have been made to add depth to the gameplay.
In the game, players choose one of 14 different super soldier classes to fight. The Gatling Soldier class pierces through enemies with intense firepower, while the Shotgun Master instills fear in opponents at close range. For those who like to attack from afar, the Sniper class maintains its place as the unseen predator of the battlefield.
In line with player feedback, the development team has included strategic innovations such as an anti-cheat “jury system”, changes to character and weapon balance, and a new resurrection ability. In addition, the training and start-up processes have been redesigned to make it easier for new players to adapt to the game.
Although Super People reached 4.3 million players in its first release, it failed to establish a permanent presence in the highly competitive battle royale market. However, this return shows that the game has the potential to attract attention again. Wonder People CEO Hur Min expressed his hopes for this new era by saying, “This time, we want to establish a more sustainable structure by prioritizing player experience.” Super People is preparing to rewrite its destiny with the closed beta process on June 19.
