Surprise Update Coming for Cyberpunk 2077
Cyberpunk 2077 developer CD Projekt Red has announced that it is preparing a new update for the game. The studio will be sharing what’s coming with Cyberpunk 2077 Update 2.2 in a special livestream on Tuesday, December 10. The date also coincides with the fourth anniversary of the game’s release.
New Features Coming to Cyberpunk 2077
“Join us for a new REDstreams episode where we’ll dive deep into the new features coming soon with Cyberpunk 2077 Update 2.2,” CD Projekt Red’s official social media account shared. “The team still has some energy,” the company’s Global Community Manager Marcin Momot said.
No detailed information has yet been shared about the content of the update. However, it has been confirmed that PS5 Pro improvements or New Game+ mode will not be part of this update.
It was announced that Project Polaris, the new game of another popular series of the studio, The Witcher, has entered the full development phase and is being worked on by a team of 400 people, which is 61% of the company. In addition, 64 developers are working on Project Orion, the sequel to Cyberpunk 2077.
In the latest financial report, it was announced that Cyberpunk 2077 has sold more than 30 million copies in four years. The game’s expansion pack, Phantom Liberty, managed to sell 8 million copies. All new features that will come with Cyberpunk 2077 Update 2.2 will be announced during a live broadcast on Tuesday.
