Switch 1 Direct Release Date Coming Soon
A new rumor has emerged that has Nintendo fans excited. The company is alleged to be holding a Switch 1 Direct presentation on Wednesday, March 26. The rumors have been spreading through leaks on a Chinese forum and discussions on social media. These claims have confused people, especially ahead of the big Switch 2 Direct scheduled for April 2. While some sources suggest that this could be a Partner Direct or Indie World broadcast, others believe that these claims could be untrue.
Where Do Switch 1 Direct Rumors Come From?
The rumors started with a post by a Chinese forum user that said, “We’ll see a Switch 1 Direct in 3 days.” This post attracted attention because it belonged to a user who has leaked accurate information in the past. Then, comments on Nintendo fan communities and especially posts on a forum called Famiboards further reinforced this rumor. One user claimed that he passed by Nintendo CEO Shuntaro Furukawa’s office and heard conversations suggesting that the company would be holding an event for the Switch 1.
In addition, a short and mysterious emoji post made by a well-known journalist on social media has also fueled these rumors. However, despite all these clues, Nintendo has not made an official statement on the subject.
If the rumors are true, new game announcements or release dates for Switch 1 could be announced in this presentation. The possibility of sharing new information about long-awaited games such as Metroid Prime 4 excites fans a lot. In addition, since a new Indie World event has not been held for a while, it is thought that this broadcast could focus on indie games.
Some analysts think that Nintendo’s move for Switch 1 before the big Switch 2 Direct on April 2 could be a strategic decision. However, others argue that having two big events so close to each other would create confusion.
