Switch 2 Has Already Arrived to Some Users

Despite the official release date not yet coming, the Switch 2 has already been in the hands of some users. Unboxing videos shared on social media quickly spread, and Nintendo intervened to quickly remove the content. Although the device is not currently available for use, interest from gamers is already high.

Switch 2 Does Not Work Without Update

Some users stated that they have not yet been able to play games on the Nintendo Switch 2 devices they received. One user said that when they plugged in a previous-generation Switch game, they were met with a warning saying, “Please connect to the internet and update your system.” This situation reveals that the device will have to wait for the official update on June 5th to reach full functionality.

Another user, upon requesting additional videos on social media, stated that the console is completely locked and that no further action can be taken without a software update. This user also said that he will only be able to use the console on June 5th, the official release day. Nintendo, on the other hand, continues to monitor content by quickly removing all early access videos.

In addition to the Switch 2 unboxing videos, some new features are also drawing attention. The console will offer standard USB mouse support for certain games. In addition, new features such as controls specific to Nintendo 64 games, CRT filter and rewind option that will be offered via Nintendo Switch Online platform were introduced. These moves by Nintendo show that the new console will appeal to both old and new players.
