Production on the Harry Potter series has begun at Warner Bros. Leavesden Studios in the UK. The first image of a young Harry Potter, played by Dominic McLaughlin, was also released alongside these announcements.
Arabella Stanton will portray Hermione Granger in the new production, and Alastair Stout will play Ron Weasley. The series’ young cast also includes new faces like Draco Malfoy (Lox Pratt), Seamus Finnigan (Leo Earley), Parvati Patil (Alessia Leoni), and Lavender Brown (Sienna Moosah). Among the adult cast, John Lithgow (Albus Dumbledore), Janet McTeer (Minerva McGonagall), and Paapa Essiedu (Severus Snape) stand out.
The production’s technical team is also quite strong. Adriano Goldman is the director of photography, and renowned artists in key areas such as visual effects and creature design are involved. The series is written by Francesca Gardiner, and Mark Mylod is directing.
