The First Voice Actor for the GTA 6 Cast Has Been Announced

Despite tons of information about GTA 6, from gameplay to the open world, Rockstar continues to be tight-lipped about the cast. The actors playing Jason and Lucia are still unknown, but the first crack in that wall has finally appeared. Stephen Root, known from games like King of the Hill and Finding Nemo, officially confirmed his role in GTA 6 during a BAFTA Tea Party. He didn’t say which character he plays, but fans have a strong guess.

Stephen Root Officially Confirmed in GTA 6 Cast

When asked about his role in the game, Root didn’t try to hide it. He said, “Yes, you’ll see me there,” adding that his character has been featured in the first trailers about a year ago. According to Root, the secret had already begun to be revealed, especially due to players recognizing his voice from King of the Hill.

Root also stated that he was quite pleased to be working on GTA 6. While he didn’t go into too much detail about his experience, he said he was happy to be involved in the project and that the game looked visually impressive. Given the confidentiality agreements Rockstar makes players sign, expecting him to reveal more would be somewhat optimistic.

The character’s name hasn’t been officially revealed. However, fan-made voice comparisons suggest Root is playing Brian Heder. Heder, a retired smuggler, gives Jason a job and was seen at a rooftop party with Jason and Lucia in the latest GTA 6 Extended Look video.

Now, naturally, all eyes are on Jason and Lucia. Rockstar still hasn’t announced the actors for the two main characters and will likely keep this information a secret for a while longer. However, with Stephen Root’s confirmation, the first name in the GTA 6 cast is now confirmed. It wouldn’t be surprising if the other actors are revealed one by one after this.
