The Last of Us Season 2 Finale Leaked
The highly anticipated Season 2 finale of The Last of Us has leaked onto the internet days before its official release date. The final episode, titled “Convergence,” was briefly released after Apple accidentally made the episode available for early access to viewers who purchased the season package. Although the episode was quickly removed, some scenes have already begun circulating on social media, drawing attention to a significant change that was not in the game.

The leaked footage shows Ellie targeting Abby’s friends (at least Owen and Mel) and Abby reaching the theater where Ellie, Dina, Jesse, and Tommy are hiding for revenge. These scenes, which largely parallel the game, may contain significant character changes in the series. In the game scenario, Abby suddenly killed Jesse and pointed the gun at Tommy, forcing Ellie to drop the weapon. However, in the leaked clips, Abby is seen directly threatening Jesse, suggesting that Tommy may not be in this scene.
The music and editing in the episode also indicate that the scene was cut and cut or the leak may have been intentionally changed. In this case, it is understood that the series does not present this scene exactly as the game.
Showrunner Craig Mazin said in an interview in recent months that it was not possible for season 2 to cover all the events, and that seasons 3 and possibly 4 were needed to complete the story.
