The Office VR Game is Coming

NBC’s legendary series The Office is preparing to offer fans a new experience with the virtual reality game The Office VR World. Developed in collaboration with NBCUniversal and Meta, this VR game offers players the opportunity to relive the series by making them employees of the Dunder Mifflin office.

What’s in The Office VR World?

The Office, which reached a huge audience for nine seasons between 2005-2013, still has a large fan base with its humorous characters and sincere stories. The Office World brings this iconic series to virtual reality, giving fans the chance to experience the office environment. In the game, users can claim their own desk at Dunder Mifflin and play mini-games inspired by memorable scenes from the show. For example, you can recreate the “Kevin’s Chilli” scene or decorate your desk by winning “Schrute Bucks”.

Sarah Malkin, Meta’s Director of Metaverse Entertainment, said The Office World offers a new opportunity for fans to experience the show in an interactive way. Launching October 10th on Meta Horizon, the game was developed by studios including Magnopus, ARVORE, Albyon and Monks.

The Office World will be the second video game based on The Office universe after the show’s mobile game. Experiencing the show’s iconic scenes in virtual reality is a huge thrill for old and new fans alike. Combining the humorous style and office dynamics of The Office with VR technology, this game offers fans the opportunity to step into the world of Dunder Mifflin.
