Rockstar Games Social Club was a platform that allowed players to track their in-game progress, connect with friends, and form teams in GTA Online. Players could also create and share content like custom races and missions. However, over the years, the system’s technical and security deficiencies have been frequently cited.

Videotechuk, a content creator known for his close ties to Rockstar, confirmed the system’s complete shutdown, stating that user profiles, photos, and content were now inaccessible. He also suggested that this situation may be part of the company’s plans to launch a new online platform alongside GTA 6.

Some features of Social Club had become dysfunctional over time, and players had complained about security vulnerabilities. Issues such as team theft and account targeting, in particular, demonstrated that the platform had failed to meet current expectations. Now, all eyes are on whether Rockstar will return with a new social system. It may not be surprising that GTA 6 will offer a completely different online experience.
