Third Person RPG The Directorate: Novitiate Announced
Nesting Games is preparing to introduce its new action RPG game The Directorate: Novitiate to gamers. The game, which will be played from a third-person perspective, offers a dark and action-packed story enriched with magic and weapons. In the game set in 2006 Los Angeles, players will step into a world where crime and supernatural forces clash as a character codenamed “Mercury”.
The Plot and Theme of The Directorate: Novitiate
The Directorate: Novitiate focuses on the year 2006, when Costa Muerta, a supernatural organization preparing for war in the underworld of Los Angeles, is located. Players, as the main character Kana Luna (codenamed Mercury), will try to protect the world by rising from the “Novitiate” level in this organization. The story of the game is based on tracking a serial killer, confronting dangerous secrets and making difficult choices.
The contradictions between Mercury’s two different lives, both living an ordinary life during the day and acting as a magical assassin at night, form the basis of the story. Players will have to face the consequences of each choice while deciding who to trust in this process.
The game offers an intense combat system that blends magic and weapons. Players will be able to defeat their enemies with acrobatic moves and experience impressive fight scenes with special moves called “Gun Kata”. The gameplay, supported by RPG elements, includes a level system where you can improve your skills. This system allows you to make both offensive and defensive upgrades.
While chasing a supernatural serial killer, players will advance through the dark streets of Los Angeles and encounter new dangers at every corner. The decisions made throughout the story will shape not only Mercury’s fate but also the world around him.
The Directorate: Novitiate will be released on Steam for the PC platform in 2025. Although an official date has not been announced yet, the game’s announcement trailer has created great excitement among players.
