Tokyo Xtreme Racer Images Released

Tokyo Xtreme Racer is getting ready to come to the PC platform. The game, developed by Genki, will be released globally on Steam in 2025. The new game in the legendary street racing series combines nostalgia and innovation with the released gameplay footage. Players will be able to customize their vehicles while trying to defeat their opponents in one-on-one duels.

Tokyo Xtreme Racer Gameplay and Features

Tokyo Xtreme Racer offers players an exciting street racing experience. The main mode of the game is based on winning by consuming the “spirit points” of the opponents. To do this, you can hit your opponent against an obstacle or get at least 25 meters ahead of them. In addition, you are offered the opportunity to customize your vehicles with decals, modified parts and neon lights.

The released gameplay footage also includes remixed music tracks from previous games in the series. Genki is gradually revealing the list of vehicles that will be in the game. The vehicles announced so far include popular models such as the Nissan Skyline GT-R V-Spec II, Toyota Supra RZ, Mazda RX-7 Type RZ, and Subaru Impreza WRX STI Spec C. In addition, the Toyota Sprinter Trueno GT-APEX 3 Door, a favorite of Initial D fans, will be in the game.

Tokyo Xtreme Racer revives the spirit of the Shutoko Battle series. First released for the Super Famicom (SNES) in 1994, the series returns after a long hiatus. Following iconic titles such as Shutoko Battle X and Import Tuner Challenge, this new game will be a modern interpretation of the series.
