New Feature for Tomb Raider 4-6 Remastered Collection

Following the success of the original trilogy’s remasters, Tomb Raider 4-6 Remastered Collection was announced last month. The collection is set to be released on February 14, 2025, cost $30, and will come with enhanced versions of Tomb Raider: The Last Revelation, Chronicles, and The Angel of Darkness.

Now, Aspyr revealed on the PlayStation Blog that the Tomb Raider 4-6 Remastered Collection will have Photo Mode, allowing gamers to take pictures of Lara Croft anywhere in the games. According to Aspyr, Photo Mode will come with several features, allowing gamers to select all the poses and outfits that already appeared in the first remaster, as well as new ones. Gamers will also have the ability to take customizable shots, setting up angles, depth of field, and zoom effects to create the perfect composition. Other relevant features include dynamic expressions for Lara, as well as the seamless integration of Photo Mode, allowing gamers to take shots at any moment.

The new Tomb Raider trilogy remaster will only be released next year, but Aspyr is still supporting the previous collection. Earlier this month, Tomb Raider 1-3 Remastered received a new update. The update did not bring any drastic change to the games, but it fixed several issues, such as one problem that caused some gamers to be soft-locked in the Great Pyramid in the first Tomb Raider. Other improvements include enhanced skyboxes and the addition of quality of life features, such as allowing gamers to toggle boss health bars on and off, and enhanced modern controls.

2024 has been an excellent year for Tomb Raider fans. Not only one classic collection of Tomb Raider games has been released and continuously supported, obtaining pretty good reviews, but Netflix has also recently released a Tomb Raider animated series. Called Tomb Raider: The Legend of Lara Croft, the series had eight episodes, and Netflix has confirmed that the show will return for a second season.
