Trap House: Dave Bautista Action Movie Coming
Dave Bautista, the beloved name of action cinema, is preparing to meet the audience with a different production this time blending elements of crime and comedy. The new film Trap House has already aroused curiosity in the cinema world with its original script centered on the children of DEA agents. Aura Entertainment plans to bring this production to moviegoers in November.
Bautista’s “Family Business” Operation in Trap House
Trap House brings together Dave Bautista, as well as Jack Champion, Sophia Lillis, Tony Dalton, Whitney Peak and Kate Del Castillo. The film is about the rebellious young children of an elite DEA team who attempt to rob a ruthless drug cartel using the tactics of their families. The story aims to add innovation to the genre with its humorous structure that includes both action and family dynamics.
The script of the production, directed by Michael Dowse, known for the movie Stuber, belongs to Gary Scott Thompson, the writer of The Fast and the Furious, and Tom O’Connor, whom we know from The Hitman’s Bodyguard. This strong writing team signals that the tempo of the film will be high. The film, which Dave Bautista both stars in and produces, will be released in wide release on November 14.
The film will be Aura Entertainment’s first major theatrical distribution in the US. Aura is a new distribution company established in partnership with Capstone Studios, Signature Entertainment and Ascending Media Group, and aims to play an active role in the sector with 10 to 15 films per year. Trap House stands out as the first major step that will determine the path the company will follow in terms of both vision and content.
Dave Bautista made a statement about the film, saying, “This project has been a labor of love for us. I am proud of the work that has come out. My castmates have given amazing performances. I can’t wait to share Trap House with the audience.” Aura CEO Marc Goldberg described the film as “bold, smart and fun” and said that they will make a strong opening under Bautista’s leadership.
