Two New AMD Ryzen CPUs Revealed
AMD is preparing to expand its existing Ryzen lineup. Listings appearing in online stores have revealed that two new processors, the Ryzen 5 9500F and Ryzen 7 9700F, are on the way. While no official announcement has been made, leaked information provides the first clues about the specifications and pricing of these models.
First Details About the New AMD Ryzen CPUs
According to the information released, both processors will feature the Granite Ridge architecture and be compatible with the AM5 socket. This means existing AM5-based motherboards will support the new models, giving users the opportunity to upgrade without having to replace their systems.
The Ryzen 5 9500F is said to have 6 cores and 12 threads, operating at a maximum speed of 5.0 GHz. It is also expected to have 38 MB of cache and a TDP of 65W. These features aim to offer a balance of performance and efficiency for the mid-range segment.
The Ryzen 7 9700F, on the other hand, will feature an 8-core architecture. Interestingly, while it is rumored to have 12 threads, this detail has not yet been confirmed. Similarly, its listing with a 65W TDP is seen as a notable sign of energy efficiency. The “F” suffix indicates that neither model includes integrated graphics.
Pricing leaks have also surfaced. The Ryzen 5 9500F is expected to be priced at approximately $217, while the Ryzen 7 9700F is expected to be priced at $294. However, due to market conditions and regional differences, these figures are not yet confirmed. Unless there is an official statement from AMD, the accuracy of these details will remain speculation for now.
