Two New Transformers Games Could Be On The Way
A big rumor is circulating that will excite Transformers fans: Remakes of two classic Activision Transformers games could be on the way. If this is true, the games that were highly acclaimed on old-gen consoles could be making a comeback.
Are Transformers Games War for Cybertron and Fall of Cybertron Being Remade?
Transformers fans will be excited to know that Transformers: War for Cybertron and Transformers: Fall of Cybertron with great fondness. Unfortunately, these games are not playable on today’s current platforms. According to the latest rumors, Xbox Game Studios is working to fill this gap. According to information from the Transformers fan site TFW2005, two different Transformers games are in the works and are scheduled for release this year.
If the rumors are true, we could see remastered versions of these two classic games. War for Cybertron was released in 2010 and its sequel Fall of Cybertron came out two years later. Both games are set in the early days of the war between the Autobots and Decepticons, and it would make sense to re-present these stories with updated graphics.
It’s unclear at this point if these games will be Xbox exclusives or if they’ll be available on other platforms like PlayStation, Steam and Switch. But given Microsoft’s tendency to release games on multiple platforms in recent years, it’s highly likely.
Of course, such rumors should always be met with some skepticism. While TFW2005 is a reliable source on Transformers, it’s important to remember that plans are constantly changing in the video game industry.
