Uncharted Series Return Officially Confirmed
Despite being one of PlayStation’s most iconic franchises, the Uncharted series, which has been dormant for years, hasn’t returned with a new game. After 2016’s Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End, the series, which had been relegated to the background only through remasters and side stories, was relegated to the background as Naughty Dog shifted its focus to The Last of Us projects. Naughty Dog Announces New Uncharted Message
In an interview with Variety, Neil Druckmann discussed the studio’s upcoming projects, discussing The Last of Us universe and Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet. However, what really caught our attention was his assertion that some discussions regarding Uncharted were underway. These comments were interpreted as a strong indication that the series would return to the spotlight with a film or game.
Although no concrete details have been released, it’s clear that Naughty Dog hasn’t completely abandoned the Uncharted franchise. This small hint has renewed hope for a series return, particularly among players who grew up with Nathan Drake’s adventures. Whether this will be a new game or a separate project remains unclear.
The adventure and exploration-focused gameplay the series has offered has been one of the most beloved aspects of the PlayStation franchise.
