Until Dawn Movie Release Date Revealed

Sony has announced that the Until Dawn movie adaptation will hit theaters on April 25, 2025.

The Until Dawn movie was first announced in 2024. Directed by David F. Sandberg (director of Lights Out, Annabelle: Creation, and the Shazam movies), the movie is based on the video game, but it remains to be seen just how faithful it will be to the source material. Since Until Dawn is effectively an interactive movie already, if the film were to be a direct adaptation, it would have to essentially choose between different possibilities that players choose in the game. Time will tell exactly how the Until Dawn movie shakes out, but fans now know what they can expect to watch it for themselves.

As reported by Deadline, the Until Dawn movie will premiere on April 25, 2025. This announcement comes hot off the heels of Until Dawn filming wrapping up, though it will likely be months before fans get a proper trailer for the project.

Hardcore fans of the Until Dawn game may be interested in seeing its characters brought to life on the big screen, but that might be awkward since they already feature the likeness of existing actors like Hayden Panettiere and Rami Malek. The Until Dawn film adaptation stars Ella Rubin, Michael Cimino, Ji-young Yoo, Odessa A’zion, Maia Mitchell, and Belmont Cameli, but there’s no word on who exactly they will be playing. To date, only one actor from the video game has been confirmed to be returning for the movie.

Aside from movie, Until Dawn sequel is in the works as well. There are a lot of things to look forward to as a Until Dawn fan.
