After years of waiting, Until Dawn finally made it’s launch on PC and it’s time to make a Until Dawn PC review for us. In this review, we will share all our expression while playing the game.

Until Dawn Story

Until Dawn is a game based on story and player choices. The story evolves around a group of young people. During a party at her lodge on Blackwood Mountain, a cruel prank causes Hannah Washington to run into the woods. Hannah’s twin sister Beth finds her, but the two are pursued by a flamethrower wielding stranger resulting in them falling off a cliff’s edge. No bodies are found by the police and the sisters are declared missing.

A year later, Hannah and Beth’s brother Josh invites the group from the previous party, Hannah’s friend Sam Giddings, Josh’s friend Chris Hartley, Chris’ mutual love interest Ashley Brown, new couple Emily Davis and Matt Taylor, Emily’s ex-boyfriend Mike Munroe and Mike’s new girlfriend Jessica Riley back to the lodge. Despite tensions between members of the group and reservations about returning after the tragedy that occurred, all seven accept Josh’s invitation. Each member of the group arrives at the lodge through a cable car before engaging in separate activities on the mountain.

During the story, player has an option to choose either kill all of them, or save all of them. It depends on your choices, but generally paying attention to the details saves your character’s fate.

Until Dawn Gameplay

Until Dawn has a gamestyle like walking simulator. During your gameplay, you walk around and explore your surroundings and examine things you find in order to discover truths and sometimes find something useful to stay alive. While talking to other characters, the game lets you to choose which option is best for you. You can decide the character’s fate by choosing different options.

Until Dawn has quick time events as well. When running from certain thing, quick time events happens, if you fail them, mostly this fault ends fatal. But if you are not in a chase or something like that, you character will stay alive.

During your gameplay, collectible items like totems might show you glimpse of future. You can follow these to prevent your character’s death or maybe see something might happen in the future.

Until Dawn PC Changes

The new version of Until Dawn contains a new epilogue scene where you see Sam alone in morning. A symbol carved on her arm when she wakes up. This scene might be news for upcoming game of Until Dawn. Developers clearly wanted to show players something new before releasing the sequel game.

Aside from new scene, graphics look much better in this version. Graphical improvements made the Until Dawn experience better.

Until Dawn PC Performance Issues and Conclusion

Until Dawn is a successful game focused on story and player choices. It’s good to make yourself comfortable and play game like you are watching a movie. Going around different characters and seeing the story from their perspective makes your gaming experience better. While making choices, you don’t feel like you can’t change anything because your choices really affects the story and sometimes bad decisions might kill all of your characters and maybe end the story pretty early.

The PC version however have some problems needs to be fixed. Game looks much better with this version but a lot of graphical issues can occur. Some subtitles appears late, characters sometimes disappear from your screen. Some musics and dialogues are bugged as well. During your gameplay, some button indicators also don’t appear or appear very late. These issues are not impossible to fix, hopefully developers will do something about it.

Until Dawn is a great story based game. If you are looking for a horror story with choices, you can have a great time playing it. We recommend this game to all horror game lovers.
