Especially Until Dawn Remake’s limited innovations have been the focus of criticism in terms of price-performance next to other big productions. Critics have noted that the game’s story or gameplay has not been extensively revamped, which calls into question the purpose of the remake.

Ballistic Moon, the developer of Until Dawn Remake, was also on the agenda with layoffs in September. Although the impact of these layoffs on the game is not yet clear, the difficulties faced by the studio in this process are noteworthy. However, the game is scheduled to be released on October 4th despite these problems.

Work is also underway on a movie adaptation of Until Dawn. Produced by PlayStation Productions and Sony’s Screen Gems studios, this project aims to bring the game’s cinematic structure to the big screen.
