According to Variety, this new structure will include special teams for Harry Potter, Mortal Kombat, Game of Thrones and DC Universe.

Warner Bros. Established New Departments for Major Brands

According to the statement, Warner Bros. Games Montréal studio head Yves Lachance will be responsible for the Harry Potter and Game of Thrones projects. Shaun Himmerick, head of NetherRealm Studios, will manage the DC and Mortal Kombat series. In addition, Warner Bros. Games New York studio head Steven Flenory will now be senior vice president, managing technical infrastructure, customer service, quality control and user research.

These three names will report to JB Perrette, CEO of Warner Bros. Discovery, responsible for global broadcasting and games. Perrette said in a statement, “We have the biggest franchises in the world and we are optimizing our team structure to develop long-term plans for these strong brands,” outlining the goals of the new period.

It was also confirmed that the Wonder Woman game has been canceled and former president David Haddad has left his position as part of the new structure. However, according to Variety, there will be no layoffs during this process. Warner Bros. Games aims to provide quality and long-lasting games to players by focusing on its strong IPs.
