According to the game’s story, Dhalsim is a pacifist yogi who, against his own beliefs, enters a fighting tournament to help his impoverished village. The character is considered one of the most moral figures in the Street Fighter universe. Roshan Seth portrayed Dhalsim in the first live-action film, released in 1994.

The film’s cast includes Andrew Koji (Ryu), Callina Liang (Chun-Li), Noah Centineo (Ken), Jason Momoa (Blanka), Roman Reigns (Akuma), Orville Peck (Vega), Andrew Schulz (Dan Hibiki), and Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson (Balrog). Hirooki Goto will also star as E. Honda, while it was previously announced that WWE star Cody Rhodes will portray Guile.

Production is scheduled to begin filming in Australia in August 2025. An official release date has not yet been announced for the film, which is being developed by Legendary Entertainment and Capcom.
