Will There Be Rematch Crossplay?

Drawing attention with its stylish gameplay and dynamic football scenes, Rematch managed to get on the radar of sports fans in a short time. The new football game from the Sloclap team, known for Sifu, is coming to PC, PlayStation and Xbox platforms at the same time. However, there is disappointment in the crossplay support that players are most curious about.

When Will Crossplay Come for Rematch?

Rematch stands out from classic football simulations with its Rocket League-inspired acrobatic moves and stylish stadiums. The game, which stands out with its 5v5 match structure, third-person camera angle and fast gameplay, offers a fresh experience for those looking for an alternative to EA FC. However, it has been officially announced that the cross-platform play feature will not be available at launch.

With only 90 minutes left until the game’s release, developer Sloclap announced on social media that crossplay support was not ready at the moment, but was a priority among the first updates. This news particularly upset players whose friends were on different platforms. Although information about this issue had been shared on Sloclap’s Discord server for weeks, there was no promise of crossplay on social media or the store pages.

According to the developer team, work is ongoing to share a timeline for the crossplay feature. In team-based competitive games, the lack of this feature can cause the player pool to split. Similarly, the fact that Elden Ring: Nightreign, which has a large player base, did not offer crossplay caused similar disappointment among players.

Nevertheless, Rematch continues to receive positive reviews for its gameplay. Sloclap aims to activate the crossplay feature as soon as possible and bring all players together on the same field. It is useful to stay tuned for new updates and announcements.
