Xbox 16TB Limit Is Coming to an End

Microsoft is making an update that will make Xbox users happy. With the new update, the 16TB limit applied to external storage devices on Xbox consoles is being removed. Xbox Storage Limit is Being Removed

Until now, there was a 16TB limit applied to external storage devices on Xbox consoles. With the new update, this limit will be removed and users will be able to use larger storage units. According to Microsoft’s statement, users who use a larger external storage unit will need to reformat their devices in order to benefit from this capacity. The update will be offered first to Alpha Skip-Ahead users in the Xbox Insider program and will be active for all users in a few weeks.

The new update will be especially useful for large-sized modern games. However, Xbox Series X/S-optimized games will not be able to be played from external USB drives. It is stated that these games can only be run on the console’s internal SSD or NVMe SSD expansion cards. External storage units can be used for data storage for these games.

In addition to removing the storage limit, the update also adds a new “discount badge” feature to make it easier to find game discounts on the Xbox Store. This feature will allow players to more easily notice discounts that they cannot yet access.
