Xbox Exclusive Returns in 2025

Developed for Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC, Replaced is set to release in 2025. First announced in 2021, the game created great anticipation with its eye-catching trailer. However, its release was first postponed to 2022 and then to 2023. Now, developer Sad Cat Studios has hinted in a new post on social media that the game will be released this year, and gave fans the message, “Stay tuned in 2025.”

About Replaced, Exclusive to Xbox

Replaced stands out as a 2.5D action platformer set in a retro-futuristic science fiction universe. Players control R.E.A.C.H., an artificial intelligence trapped in a human body against its will. The game’s story focuses on discovering the dark secrets of Phoenix-City in an alternate 1980s world where corruption and greed reign. The game, which combines cinematic platform elements, pixel art, and fluid combat mechanics, aims to present a dystopian story.

Sad Cat Studios states that it focuses on the visual and gameplay quality of the game. Replaced will also be available to players via Xbox Game Pass. This is seen as an important step towards bringing the game to a wider audience.

The GIF released with the New Year message confirms that the game will still be released as planned. However, no announcement has been made for a definite release date or a new trailer. The two announcements are expected to come together.

2025 is set to be a big year for Xbox. In addition to notable games like Replaced, other exclusive games such as Fable, Avowed, South of Midnight, and Gears of War: E-Day will also be released this year. Replaced, which Sad Cat Studios will offer to players this year, continues to be a production that Xbox owners are eagerly awaiting with its retro-futuristic atmosphere and strong storytelling.
