Xbox Game Pass August 2025 Wave 1 Games Announced

Xbox Game Pass is getting off to a fast start in August. The first wave of games announced by Microsoft includes both unexpected surprises and previously rumored titles. The additional privileges for Ultimate members are particularly prominent this month. As always, it’s important to remember that some games will be leaving as well as new ones.

  • Rain World (Cloud, Console, PC)

6 August

  • Citizen Sleeper 2: Starward Vector (Xbox Series X|S – Standart)
  • Lonely Mountains: Snow Riders (Xbox Series X|S – Standart)
  • MechWarrior 5: Clans (Xbox Series X|S – Standart)
  • Orcs Must Die! Deathtrap (Xbox Series X|S – Standart)

7 August

  • Assassin’s Creed Mirage (Cloud, Console, PC – Only Ultimate and PC Game Pass)

12 August

  • Aliens: Fireteam Elite (Cloud, Console, PC)

14 August

  • 9 Kings (Xbox Game Preview – Only Ultimate and PC Game Pass)

Not only are the games themselves a highlight this month, but so are some significant content and season updates. Madden NFL 26 launches with a 10-hour trial for EA Play members on August 7th. Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2’s Enhanced Edition will be released on August 12th, while Sea of Thieves Season 17 begins on August 14th. This content demonstrates that Game Pass continues to expand not only in terms of games but also in terms of experiences.

The in-game bonuses offered for Ultimate and PC Game Pass members are also quite extensive. Below is a short list of these benefits:

Along with all these new features, some games will be leaving the library. As of August 15th, Anthem, Farming Simulator 22, and Persona 3 Reload will be leaving Xbox Game Pass. However, considering the wealth of new content, it’s sure to be an exciting month for Xbox Game Pass subscribers.
