Zombie Massacre in the Middle Ages: Blight: Survival
Blight: Survival, a dark action-horror game developed by Haenir Studios, is preparing to offer a survival struggle set in the misty lands of the Middle Ages. The game, which does not have a release date yet, has started accepting applications for a limited closed test period. Blight: Survival invites players to fight with their friends against a fungal zombie invasion in decaying villages. Moreover, not only creatures but also enemy soldiers and complex combat systems await players on this journey.
Swords Will Speak in Blight: Survival
Blight: Survival offers a survival experience that can be played with teams of four in the middle of a war between two enemy kingdoms. As a result of this war, a “brain rot” epidemic spreading in the region has turned villagers into spore-spreading zombies. As grave robbers, players try to stop this spread while collecting valuable items from the battlefield. The gameplay is supported by mechanics inspired by the rogue-lite and extraction genres.
One of the striking aspects of the game is the “directional combat” system. Players can determine their attacks and defenses according to the direction of their swords. Although this mechanic is familiar from productions such as For Honor and Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, it is aimed to create a sharper and more direct feeling in Blight. The released promotional videos also give an idea about this system.
In the newly announced content, a swamp biome and enemies specific to this area have also been revealed. The visual design of the game offers a suffocating and disturbing atmosphere reminiscent of productions such as A Plague Tale: Innocence and Hunt: Showdown. It will not be easy to find your way in this world full of ruins, gallows and decaying structures.
Although early access or a release date has not been announced yet, the developers are continuing their preparations to start the first tests with a limited number of players. Applications are open for those who want to participate in the closed test process. Blight: Survival already stands out as an interesting alternative for those who want to fight with their friends in a decaying world against the zombie invasion.
