2XKO Early Access Date Announced
2XKO has been a long-awaited project for both Riot Games fans and fighting game enthusiasts. Initially announced as Project L, the project opens a new avenue for players looking to experience the LoL universe in a different way. Now, 2XKO’s early access date has been officially announced.
2XKO Coming to Early Access in October
Riot Games announced that 2XKO will be available in early access on October 7, 2025. This period will mark the game’s “Season 0.” However, for now, only PC players will be able to participate in the experience; a release date for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S owners has not yet been announced.
The game will feature a roster of 10 champions at launch. Among the names announced so far are some of League of Legends’ most beloved characters like Vi, Jinx, Darius, Yasuo, and Ahri. The 10th fighter remains a mystery. Leaks suggest it could be Teemo, but the official announcement will be made in Season 0.
2XKO’s most striking feature is its 2v2 tag-team system. Players will have to prioritize not only their reflexes but also their teamwork. Thanks to Riot Games’ live-service model, it’s also certain that new champions and content will be added regularly in the future.
Riot’s integration of the League of Legends universe into the fighting genre gives the game the potential to create a strong competitive scene. While the limited number of characters may initially concern some players, the strength of the brand and the game’s in-depth mechanics could quickly make 2XKO one of the genre’s standout titles.
