Action-Packed Scenes from New Punisher Filming Leaked

Leaked images from the set of The Punisher Special Presentation have revealed Jon Bernthal returning to his legendary role as Frank Castle. Donning his classic costume and trench coat, the character, who plunges into the action, has already generated considerable anticipation among fans.

First Signals Arrive for a Punisher Special

Videos from the set show Frank Castle engaging his enemies in a car and then raiding Ma Gnucci’s restaurant. These scenes prove that the character’s dark and grim nature has been preserved. His beard and appearance are strikingly faithful to the classic Punisher from the comics.

Following the Netflix series, we last saw Frank Castle as a captive of Wilson Fisk. Now, it appears he’s been freed and has chosen the Gnucci family as his next target. This move supports rumors that the character will appear in Daredevil: Born Again season 2.

The production is directed by Reinaldo Marcus Green, and the script was written by Jon Bernthal. While many fans were disappointed that this wasn’t a film or series, it’s rumored that this special, which will air on Disney+, will pave the way for Frank’s transition into the Spider-Man: Brand New Day universe in 2026.

Bernthal, however, emphasized his commitment to the character, saying, “Frank lives very strongly within me; I have a deep attachment to him,” making his approach to the project clear. He also emphasized that the tone of the film will not be “light” and that the character’s essence will not be deviated from.

The Punisher Special Presentation will premiere on Disney+ in 2026. It’s not yet clear whether Frank Castle will appear in the Daredevil series, but for fans, 2026 looks set to be the year the character returns to action.
