Aliens: Fireteam Elite 2 Announced
The Aliens universe is preparing to return with a new sequel on the gaming side. The first game, released in 2021, put players in the shoes of marines trying to survive against hordes of Xenomorphs. Five years later, Aliens: Fireteam Elite 2, while maintaining the same PvE action core, aims to offer a broader experience in many aspects, from team structure to class system.
Aliens: Fireteam Elite 2 Comes with Larger Teams
Alien: Fireteam Elite 2 is being developed by Cold Iron Studios and Daybreak Game Company. Like the first game, it will be played from a third-person perspective, with players again undertaking missions against the Xenomorph threat. However, one of the most notable changes this time will be the team size. While the first game was played with three-person teams, the sequel will support four-player teams.
The new game won’t just increase the player count. It will also add different Xenomorph types, improved classes, and more customization options. The fully customizable Specialist class, in particular, stands out. This class allows players to mix abilities from different classes to create a build that suits their play style.
Aliens: Fireteam Elite 2 will launch with Horde Mode. In this mode, players will try to survive against increasingly powerful waves of enemies on specially crafted maps. It’s stated that rewards become more valuable as the difficulty increases. This structure seems to appeal especially to players looking for a long-lasting and replayable challenge with a group of friends.
The game’s exact release date has not yet been announced. For now, it’s only stated that it will be released this summer for PlayStation, Xbox, and PC platforms. The official trailer, however, shows that Aliens: Fireteam Elite 2 aims to offer a bigger, more crowded, and more intense action experience than the first game. It looks like this will be a very busy year for Aliens fans.
