Throughout September, players will be offered a variety of titles from a variety of genres. Some games will be added to the library through the Amazon Games app, while others will be distributed as GOG or Epic Games Store codes. Here’s the distribution list by date:

  • September 4: Civilization IV: The Complete Edition (GOG), Dungeons & Dragons: Ravenloft Series (GOG), Into The Breach (Epic Games Store)
  • September 11: Afterimage (Amazon Games App), Spelljammer: Pirates of Realmspace (GOG), Subterrain: Mines of Titan (Amazon Games App), Tower of Time (GOG)
  • September 18: FATE: The Cursed King (GOG), Residual (GOG)
  • September 25: Mystical Riddles: Ghostly Park Collector’s Edition (Legacy Games), Pixel Cafe (Amazon Games App)

This month’s selection is especially appealing to strategy enthusiasts. Games like Civilization IV, Into The Breach, Tower of Time, and Subterrain stand out for those who appreciate tactical depth. For those who prefer lighter games, there are options like Pixel Cafe or Mystical Riddles.

Prime Gaming isn’t limited to monthly free games. Subscribers also have access to the Amazon Luna library. This service allows you to play games like Control: Ultimate Edition, Fortnite, and the SteamWorld series via the cloud. While it’s not as comprehensive as Xbox Cloud Gaming or GeForce Now, its inclusion in the Prime membership makes it attractive.

Amazon’s monthly game rotation can sometimes be overlooked. However, the fact that it has offered many free games, including strategy classics, cult RPGs, and indie hits, in recent months demonstrates the service’s robust offering. Checking in weekly in September to expand your library would definitely be a wise move.
