AMD Radeon RX 9070 Series Release Date Announced
AMD has announced that it is planning a press conference for the Radeon RX 9070 Series graphics cards based on the next-generation RDNA 4 architecture. This event, expected to take place at the end of February, is expected to share details about the RX 9070 and RX 9070 XT models. However, it is not yet clear whether this press conference will be just a promotion or an official launch event.
What is Known About the Radeon RX 9070 Series
AMD first announced the Radeon RX 9070 series in January at the CES 2025 event. However, only basic information was shared at that time and no details were disclosed. It is expected that many questions such as the performance, prices and release dates of these cards will be answered at the press conference to be held at the end of February.
It is known that the RX 9070 series will have 16 GB GDDR6 memory, a 256-bit memory interface, and improved energy efficiency with the RDNA 4 architecture. In addition, the cards are aimed to offer strong performance in both gaming and content production with high clock speeds.
AMD’s event draws attention as it is held right after NVIDIA launched its RTX 50 series cards. It is thought that AMD plans to determine its pricing and performance strategies by observing this launch after NVIDIA introduced the RTX 5070 series in the second half of February. In addition, despite the introduction of the RX 9070 series, the cards’ exact release date is estimated to be postponed to March. It is stated that the company is working on drivers and software optimizations.
AMD aims to appeal to both gamers and professional users with the Radeon RX 9070 series. It is stated that the innovations provided by the RDNA 4 architecture will offer advantages such as increased performance and energy efficiency. More information on the RX 9070 series’ competitiveness and AMD’s future plans will be learned at the event to be held at the end of February. All eyes are now on AMD’s announcements.
