AMD Ryzen AI 5 340 Benchmark Results Are Here

Introduced at CES 2025, AMD Ryzen AI 5 340 stands out as a processor developed for budget-friendly devices with the Zen 5 architecture. The processor seen in Geekbench tests achieved 14,285 points in the OpenCL test with the integrated graphics unit Radeon 840M, demonstrating a 19% higher performance compared to its predecessor Radeon 740M. This result reveals the efficiency increase offered by AMD’s new Krackan Point series with low power consumption.

AMD Ryzen AI 5 340 Benchmark Results

Ryzen AI 5 340’s integrated graphics unit Radeon 840M has an architecture based on RDNA 3.5. The 14,285 points it received in Geekbench tests surpasses the 11,991 points of the Radeon 740M. However, the Radeon 840M only has four GPU compute units (CUs), which limits its graphics performance compared to more powerful models. For example, the Radeon 860M in the same series achieved 26,401 points with eight GPU compute units, a 54% increase over the 840M.

Despite this, the Radeon 840M stands out as a sufficient option to meet basic graphics needs in affordable devices. It aims to provide a successful experience in daily use with low power consumption, especially on mobile platforms.

AMD Ryzen AI 5 340 can reach a clock speed of up to 4.8 GHz with six cores and twelve threads. Geekbench OpenCL test results provide an important indicator for measuring the performance of the processor’s integrated graphics unit. However, since these tests do not fully reflect the overall processor performance, multi-core and single-core test results are also eagerly awaited.

AMD’s Krackan Point series offers a wide range of processor options from budget-friendly mobile devices to premium models. The results obtained by Ryzen AI 5 340 show that it can be a strong alternative for entry-level devices. However, future software optimizations and detailed test results will reveal the true potential of the processor.
